Somewhere back in the distant past of this previous year, I did a post showing four variations of a work that was based on a photograph of flowers at my local village hall. Today, I’m throwing another four way piece out there. This one is not built off flowers, but rather some man-made objects. A spur of the moment thing that lead to intricate beauty and a very woven, three dimensional feel. Trippy, misty blues intermingling with red, purple and orange-yellow hues. I really like all four variations, hence the thought to post them all.
Without further ado, here’s Four Way Windowpane 2 #1…
Rather ethereal to me and I do love the light blue center. As for those who may be wondering about the “four way windowpane” reference… 1970’s drug culture, lol. Twas the name given to a certain type of acid blotter that you could split four ways and everyone would have a very good trip.
The dreamy blue center gets bigger and more intricate. These are pretty damn cool when you flow them up and check out the details.
The ever changing blue center, rich with soft textures and lines and shapes. floating like a mist. The purple accents it nicely against the almost stone-like slabs of red/orange/yellow below it.
The blue pushed away from the center that is now dominated by the hotter colors of the lower chakras. An interesting variation of shapes and forms. Dream on…
As always, your thoughts, mad ramblings, questions and observations are welcomed and encouraged.
Yours in the continuing experiment,
P.S. To my most treasured, beloved and cherished Zengirl… all my love and gratitude for all that you are and will become.
