And electric it is. Bright yellows, greens, pink, aqua and some orange-red thrown in for good measure. Set against those black shapes and certainly something a visitor would comment on, lol. “Yeah, wow, noticed you redid the bathroom… that wallpaper is… intense…”. Well, yes it is. Of course I’m also thinking it would make for a pretty hot rug or as a pattern to spice up that Ikea sofa you got last week.
Now I realize I’m not of the norm when it comes to home decor choices, but I could certainly do a wall in the bathroom in this electric gooeyness. Or perhaps a hallway in a Japanese restaurant? Hmmm…
Like so much of the recent work this one is developed from a photo of orchids that my dear friend Gerry took while we engorged ourselves at the recent Chicago Orchid Festival. Absolutely a sensory delight perusing literally thousands of square feet of natural orchid beauty. There’s an extraordinary energy that I love in greenhouses filled with the living plant stuff.
Here’s some visual cortex stimulation, “Wallpaper NEO 600”
Soft and delicious. Repetitive and perfect for spacing out, consciously relaxing or, as the yogis say, meditating and finding your calm center. Those black sahpes really pop that color, don’t you think?
As always is the case, your comments, thoughts, opinions are welcomed here unlike when you go home to visit for Thanksgiving or other occasions. So share the love and share yourself.
Yours in disrupting the ordinary flow of things…
P.S. To my beloved Zengirl, all my thanks and gratitude for all that you do and all that you teach this man.
