Conscious Life Experiment: 30 Days of Awareness. 4 Minute Meditation Day Twenty-Six.

Well hello and welcome back! Here we are at Day 26 of this little experiment in raising our awareness and conscious. The method? A simple, short “burst” of meditation, or conscious relaxation. Close your eyes and become conscious of your breathing. Slow it. Breathe deeply. Imagine yourself letting go of the stress and tightness in your body each time you exhale. Do this consciously for roughly 3 minutes or so. Don’t worry about the “chatter” of thoughts in your mind, just focus on your breathing and letting go of that tightness. Then open your eyes and stare at the meditation image. Notice what you see, any figures or symbols. Notice if the colors give you a sensation or what they make you think of. Opening your subconscious mind. That juicy, creative stuff. And then, breathe.

Then take a look at the word of the day and jot down the first thoughts and/or feelings that word creates for you. Don’t try to judge it, just notice the automatic thinking. Then take the word with you on your day. See how it shows up in your life, in your world. Later, before bed, jot down your observations, your thoughts, your intuitive feelings.

Sounds very simple, and it is. But it has the power to open new thinking, making us more conscious, more aware of the thoughts we have, the meanings we give things. And when we become more aware of our thoughts, we gain control, or the ability to control them. That’s an ongoing process and it is the true beginning of freedom. I invite you to join in on this little experiment. If you wish to start at the beginning, click here for Day One. Or you can just jump in right here.
