Something else in these. Something else in the process. Rain. Actually, rain drops that show up all over these. As I was blasting a couple of days ago, it began to rain lightly. So I ran in and grabbed the camera and shot some pics of the work and then kept going. Then shot some more. The result are these pieces. So now, we have nature in the form of rain, the organic so to speak inserting itself into the process. Organic, analog (spray paint blasting) and digital (photos and manipulation) all coming together. A nice little accident.
Here’s “NEW INK 1″…
Gooey, wet… like new ink, a new tattoo. And look at those rain drops. Some of them, in certain areas look metallic. Others have that translucence. A wonderful accident. Or another co-creative event. There’s certainly a tribal feel. A new tribe. Intense color. Almost a peacock. The real question is what do you see? Take your time. There won’t be a test.
Here’s “Morning Glory”… seeds and all….
Vibrational. Alive with the color. Spacey, trippy acid dream. Heavy textures and rich, intoxicating color. Lots of things lurking inside this one. Dive in and see for yourself. And those rain drops again.
This next one is “Forgiveness”…
Soft, That pink just radiates to me, the rain drops forming patterns. The deep, dark blues and purples. All the colors of the seven chakras in this one. The softness of it and all the “faces” I see in it, that’s what suggested the title to me.
I can only hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoy making them.
As always, your thoughts, opinions, theories, critiques and general thrashing about is most welcomed and appreciated. Share yourself. Who knows what will come of it.
Yours in creative pursuits…
P.S. Does anyone else see the primate like “face” in the purple and blues at the bottom of that last piece?
